The Divergent Series

I'm reaally into sci-fi novels and movies, including Dystopian like Divergent Series. But IMO, Divergent Series is one of those series who would stay just as an entertainment for me. Not as a revolution, inspiring, or groundbreaking with intricate plot.
Divergent Series is fun to watch, I enjoy watching and reading them. The thing is, to me, the plot is too unrealistic to give me the chills.
Let's talk about other dystopian crafts. Pop-teenage friendly one to be specific. Hunger Games, for one, is of course also a piece of Fictional work. But the way Suzanne Collins writes the characters emotions and thoughts are very, very realistic. It makes me feel the fear and sheer will of Katniss, the gloom of district 12, etc. Other more realistic Dystopian may be the likes of Mad Max Series. This is what, to me, the Divergent Series lacks.
Divergent Series and Maze Runner are the examples of Fictional works that only entertain me. When I read them, I can't root them or their feelings. It's just fun to read. I'm fully aware 100% of the time that what I read is fiction. IMO their background stories are just not convincing and unrealistic. No militaries or governments would ever do such things, it's terribly flawed.
The idea of Dauntless as a creation of super elite soldier caste of a society is riddiculous. They are reckless, undiscipline, and daredevilish angsty teenagers. A more realistic image of elite military would be cold hearted, efficient, disciplined killing machines. And why is Erudite, the 'Smarties' caste separated from the military? In any realistic real world reality, the most advanced technologies are always held by the military. Always. It just doesn't make any sense to me. The Author should have done more research to real world governments.
They're entertaining though and I enjoy them.
